A scout reservation for all levels of scouting!
The June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation, affectionately known as JNW, is located in the Town of Ashford which is in the Northeast corner of Connecticut (Near Uconn). The reservation consists of more than 1,200 acres, includes a private lake, stream and many acres of managed forestland.
JNW is home to two separate camps:
BASE CAMP (Ashford 1): - Home of the Boy Scout Resident Camp at JNW. The Base Camp hosts limited Cub Programs. Project WOW and a Family Camping Weekend.
CUB COUNTRY (Ashford 2): - A unique Camp on “The Reservation” that serves exclusively Cub Scout Programs. Cub Country is home of the Cub Scout Resident Camp, Akela Day Camp and a Family Camping Weekend.
JNW is located in the Quinebaug & Shetucket National Heritage Corridor also called the "Last Green Valley". As the last coastal watershed between Boston and Washington, D.C. still dark as seen from satellite imagery in space. The Corridor is largely rolling hills, farm country and classic small New England mill towns.
